Tuesdays at 2pm until April 1st:

March 11, March 18, March 25, April 1

This Lent, Green Camp United Methodist Church invites you to deepen your spiritual journey through a transformative study led by Pastor Reverend Barbara Pope. The study will explore the five spiritual practices of Lent: prayer, fasting, almsgiving, scripture reading, and reflection. Each week, participants will engage in meaningful discussions and activities designed to enhance their understanding and application of these practices in their daily lives.

Overview of the Five Spiritual Practices

  • Prayer: Participants will learn various forms of prayer, including contemplative and intercessory prayer, fostering a deeper connection with God.

  • Fasting: The study will examine the significance of fasting, encouraging members to consider what to fast from and how it can lead to spiritual growth.

  • Almsgiving: Attendees will explore the importance of generosity and service, discussing ways to give back to the community and support those in need.

  • Scripture Reading: Participants will engage in reflective reading of scripture, discovering how biblical texts can inform and inspire their Lenten journey.

  • Reflection: The study will emphasize the importance of personal reflection, allowing individuals to assess their spiritual growth throughout Lent.

Join us for this enriching experience as we journey together towards Easter, deepening our faith and strengthening our community. All are welcome, and we look forward to seeing you there!
